| NoiseStop Systems Monar Floor Strip |

Monarfloor® Acoustic Strip system is designed to reduce sound transmission through timber floors in new and refurbishment projects.
Monarfloor Acoustic Strip consists of a layer of LRAC foam bonded to a securing membrane and reinforced with a plywood backing.
When installed as part of a complete sound reduction system it enables a timber floor to meet the sound transmission regulations of Part E (see tables).

Specification
The acoustic insulant shall be:
Monarfloor Acoustic Strip, manufactured by Icopal Ltd, Lyon Way, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL4 0LB.
Install Monarfloor Acoustic Strip in accordance with relevant specification clauses and design details.
Installation
- Fix Monarfloor Acoustic Flanking Band at the floor perimeter.
- Lay Monarfloor Acoustic Strip: nail or staple the securing membrane to the joists.
- Apply Monarfloor adhesive to the top of Acoustic Strip and lay the 22mm flooring.
- Install skirting and trim off excess Flanking Band.
