The System 3 soundproofing ceiling system offers reduction on impact and airborne noise at low levels and is our recommended system to use for soundproofing your ceiling when there is no access into the ceiling cavity. The height loss to the room with this system is around 33mm.

Download installation instructionsThe products used in this system are:NSSC1 Plus
18mm two layer laminated panel of acoustic mineral board two layered
laminated panel of acoustic mineral board 12.5 mm / high density,
impregnated sound reductive rubber membrane 5mm. Board dimensions 1200 x
1200mm, weight 26kg.
The NSSC1 Plus panel has been designed to be
incorporated with in the ceiling systems options 1, 2 or 3. The panel is
fixed to the soundbreaker bars or direct to the timber joists depending
on the system you are using. Once fixed the board can be skimmed or dry
lined depending on required finish.
Soundbreaker Bars
Can help to reduce transmission of sound between floors and ceilings
when using traditional plasterboard ceilings. The bars are available in
3m lengths, 70mm wide by 15mm.
Acoustic SealantSeal around the edge of plasterboards to ensure a complete acoustic seal.

The quantities have been calculated by dividing the product dimensions
into the area to be covered, you should factor in off cuts and wastage
when deciding what quantities to order. We recommend when calculating
your area an increase of 5% to allow for wastage and off cuts.
