Improve the sound insulation of your ceilings; reduce the noise generated by TVs and conversation by installing the NSSC2+ panel onto your ceilings. Soundproof a flat or reduce sound transfer in your own home through separating floors by using the NSSC2+ panel, if you cannot remove your existing ceilings, and don't want to lose significant ceiling height this ceiling panel is the ideal solution. The high density mass loaded vinyl at the centre of these panels reduces vibration across the plasterboard, which helps to reduce sound transmission into the room. The NSSC2+ panel should be screwed into ceiling joists using dry wall screws, you can either fix through an existing ceiling or fix directly to the joist if the ceiling has been removed. Install soundbreaker bars to your ceiling and then hang the ceiling panels from the bars for an increase in soundproofing performance of between 4-6dB. Soundbreaker bars should be spaced at 300-350mm centres. Acoustically seal the edges of the boards with acoustic sealant. Panels can be cut with a hand saw or jigsaw to fit any shape.
