Floor Sound Proofing
At The Sound Solution we make it our priority to provide our customers with comprehensive ways to fix their sound issues for good. We have many years of experience in our field and can offer a way for you to solve your noisy neighbour issue for good. Some of the services that we offer are wall, ceiling, stair and floor soundproofing, acoustic installation, part E building regulations and more.
Our products are very versatile and can be used by almost any type of customer, whether domestic or commercial. Many individual customers use our Floor Soundproofing services in order to not disturb their neighbours. There are many different methods in which we can help you to make your floors as quiet as they can possibly be. First of all we have DFM acoustic floor insulation. This is placed between joists for increased noise reduction in wooden floors which inhibits airborne sounds.
Soundproofing your floors is extremely important if you work in construction. There are certain rules and regulations that you must follow when you build new projects. Part E Building Regulations require properties that have been converted and new builds to meet certain acoustic requirements. Flooring is also taken into consideration in these regulations.
Our range of products can be used to achieve compliance with these regulations. We supply three types of board that can be used to reduce the noise transmission through floors and allow your building to comply. For floors made out of timber, they should be insulated with 100/45kg/m2 DFM insulation, two layers of plasterboard hung from the ceiling and sound-breaker bars attached. Concrete should have one layer of plasterboard hung from a 75mm metal frame. All these are easily obtainable from us and if you are stuck with any of these we will be more than happy to help you.
