Description
VS Foam is a flexible, closed cell, nitrile rubber with a hard wearing
surface skin.
It is suitable for thermal and acoustic insulation, condensation
control, frost protection and for use as a protective
cushion between two hard surfaces.
VS Foam is available in flat sheets or rolls and can be die-cut to
size and shape.
It can be supplied with a variety of facings and with a self-adhesive
backing if required.

Application
VS Foam is used extensively on cold equipment, including ducts and
large pipes to prevent heat gain or frost
formation, on hot equipment to prevent heat loss and can be used
to form a seal between two interfaces.
Environmental Consideration
VS Foam is environmentally friendly, HCFC free and CFC free with
an ozone depletion potential of zero (ODP Zero).
Operating Temperature
VS Foam can be used at continuous operating temperatures from -40ºC
up to 116ºC and should be applied when
the ambient temperature is between 5ºC and 25ºC.
Fire Performance
VS Foam complies with the Class ’O’ requirements of the
Building Regulations, when tested to BS476: Par 6: 1989
and Part 7: 1997.

Permanence
VS Foam is free from dust and fibres and impervious to water, oil
or other chemicals. It has a water vapour
permeability of 0.25 ngm/Nm when tested to BS4370 Part 2: 1973
Method 8 and a water absorption after 28 days of
0.35% by volume when tested to DIN 53495.
