It is important that all metal air-conditioning ducts and associated
equipment are insulated to prevent condensation, save energy and
reduce noise. Armaduct is a grey, elastomeric foam sheet supplied in
rolls and produced especially for the thermal and acoustic insulation of
metal air-conditioning ducts. Armaduct insulation reduces heat losses
and the closed cell structure prevents water vapour transmission,
reducing the risk of corrosion.
- Can be installed inside or outside the ducting.
- Smooth, so that dirt and debris that may enter the air stream tend
not to accumulate.
- Creates lower resistance to circulating air when installed within the
duct, giving greater acoustic insulation.
- Durable and erosion-resistant.
- Cleanable and washable, providing a basis for continuing system
hygiene.
