The IsoMax Clip is a high performing sound reduction system designed to completely isolate walls and ceilings. Attaching the IsoMax Clip to ceiling joists, timber and metal studs or masonry simply and easily secures the drywall furring channel, and decouples the gypsum board from the nonisolated structure. The resulting construction provides a resilient isolation solution for internal walls and ceilings.

Figure 3: Resilient Bar Construction - 49dB

Constructed using a special rubber isolator,
the IsoMax Clip system delivers a high level of
sound insulation. This not only limits the potential
for noise to pass through the cavity, but also
eliminates the need to control noise transmission
by providing less effective mass barriers.
Tests undertaken in the United States have shown
that this IsoMax Clip system outperforms standard
resilient bar constructions by up to 7dB.
The IsoMax system ensures that the installer
will not inadvertently screw through the 'resilient'
leg of the channel into the joist or stud. Given the
frequent occurrences where the resilient channel
is accidentally rendered ineffective because it is
directly screwed to the structure, this feature
cannot be underestimated when designing and
constructing ceilings and walls for noise control.
In addition to effective noise control, further
performance benefits of the IsoMax clip system
include its ability to withstand greater loads
(up to 22.5kg per clip) and its low profile design
which ensures minimum encroachment into
available living space.
Cost effective noise control
The IsoMax Clip system is quick and easy to install
using standard materials, making it one of the most
cost effective methods available to achieve superior
noise control in walls and ceilings. |
- Offers a robust and higher performing
alternative to traditional wall and
ceiling isolation methods
- Outperforms standard resilient bar
construction by up to 7dB*
- Withstands greater loads than
standard systems to provide peace
of mind for developers and dwellers
- Reduces the risk of error at installation
stage, as screws cannot be inadvertently
attached to the stud or joist through the
resilient area
- Works as a space saving solution
for either existing or new wall
constructions, with minimal encroachment into living space
- For situations where fire protection
is a consideration, fire rated wall and
ceiling systems are also available
- Offers one of the most cost effective
methods available to achieve superior
noise control in walls and ceilings
while using standard materials

Maximum load per clip on the ceiling or wall is 22.5kg.
Fire rated wall and ceiling systems are also available.
