Regupol 3912 is an acoustic underlayment, which is tough, durable and designed to attenuate impact sound at source. It can be bonded to all types of base floors and is supplied in 6mm thick rolls.

Regupol 3912 conforms to the following specifications:

• Has been independently tested by a UKAS accredited laboratory to show compliance with the new building regulations in accordance with Approved Document E 2003.
• Standard thickness 6mm thick, although other thicknesses are available upon request.
• Offers long term performance without collapse or “bottoming” out under highpoint loads.
• Resistant to ageing and deformation.
• Quick and easy to install. Simply bond to the subfloor beneath the final floor finish.
• Reduces construction heights.
• Primarily used for refurbishments, although can be used for new build also.
• High quality and exact material thickness guaranteed.
• Suitable for use with under floor heating.
• Very comfortable under foot.

18mm T&G chipboard laid over Regupol 3912 adhered to 18mm T&G chipboard, directly fixed to timber joists, 8” x 2”, with 75mm mineral wood between joists and two layers of 12.5mm thick plasterboard fixed to resilient bar.

18mm T&G chipboard laid over 19mm plasterboard plank, over Regupol 3912 adhered to 18mm T&G chipboard, directly fixed to timber joists, 8” x 2” and two layers of 12.5mm thick plasterboard fixed to the joists.

Example 3
Regupol 3912 is a very versatile product within the
refurbishment market and can also be used with batten floor systems, an example of which is detailed below.

Regupol 3912 can be cut to suit a variety of different batten widths, giving greater flexibility when selecting the batten size. Regupol 3912 is only 6mm thick, therefore minimises floor heights, which can often be the disadvantage in using standard “off the shelf” batten systems.Regupol 3912 can be fixed to the top or bottom of battens.

1. Subfloor preparation is essential for the correct installation of Regupol 3912. Subfloors must be sound, smooth, dry and free from any contaminants which could affect adhesion.
2. Please ensure each roll of Regupol 3912 is completely unrolled, turned over and left in the area to which it is to be applied for a minimum of 6 hours or ideally overnight prior to cutting and installing.

1. Bond Regupol 3912 to the base floor. The Regupol 3912 should be bonded to the subfloor using one of our recommended adhesives. Please ensure the adhesive guidelines are followed at all times.
2. Lay the Regupol 3912 into the adhesive and press from the centre outwards to exclude air and ensure overall contact with the adhesive.
3. Roll the Regupol 3912 with a 68kg flooring roller, from end to end and side to side to ensure overall contact.
4. Please leave a minimum gap of 3mm around the entire perimeter to allow for expansion and contraction. Do not butt the Regupol 3912 against the skirting boards and/or carpet grippers.
5. Use a craft knife and straight edge for cutting to size and please ensure that all edges are butt jointed.
6. After 30 minutes, when the floor has been completely covered, roll once again to ensure contact is maintained.
7. Please do not apply loads or move furniture on the Regupol 3912 until the adhesive has fully set. Please refer to the adhesive manufacturer’s
   installation guidelines for curing times.
