Short Description
Thermal and acoustic insulation of lightweight structures. Crown Loft Roll 44 is a shot-free glass mineral wool unfaced roll which is lightweight, flexible, resilient and non-combustible. Crown Loft Roll 44 is available in three variants, all 1140mm wide: Crown Loft Roll 44 - Combi-cut is perforated along its length at half and one third widths to allow easy splitting on-site to the required width. It also comes wrapped in a disposable kraft paper sleeve marked at half and one third widths to facilitate splitting while still rolled up. Crown Loft Roll 44 - Ready-cut is pre-cut into either 2x580mm widths or 3x386mm widths

Crown Loft Roll 44 is a non-combustible inorganic glass wool, defined as mineral wool in BS 3533 and is manufactured in accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2001
Fire Performance
Crown Loft Roll is classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN ISO 13501-1
Thermal Conductivity
The thermal conductivity of Crown Loft Roll 44 is 0.044 W/mK.
Permanence
Crown Loft Roll is odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.

Handling and Storage

Crown Loft Roll 44 is supplied in polythene packs. The Product Data tables show storage information for each thickness.

Application

Crown Loft Roll 44 is primarily used for the thermal insulation of pitched roofs at ceiling level. However, it can also be used to thermally insulate floors and partitions, or wherever a lightweight mineral wool quilt is required.

When used to insulate at ceiling level it is usually laid in two layers, with the first
layer between the joists and the second layer at right angles to the joists.

Crown Loft Roll 44 is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with ozone depletion potential in its manufacture and content and represents no known threat to the environment.

Crown Loft Roll 44 has a Global Warming Potential of less than 5.
