Short Description
Fire Performance
Polyfoam Agriboard contains a flame retardant to inhibit localised ignition. For areas regularly occupied by people, such as packing sheds, a fire and food safe finish must cover the insulation.
Compression resistance
The rigidity of Polyfoam Agriboard makes the board easy to handle and less prone to site damage than less robust materials. In Agricultural buildings, where the insulation is often left exposed internally, Polyfoam Agriboard is able to withstand minor impacts without serious damage, helping to prolong its service life.
Moisture resistance
The rigidity of Polyfoam Agriboard makes the board easy to handle and less prone to site damage than less robust materials. Thermal insulation
Polyfoam Agriboard is a high performance insulant, with aged quoted thermal performance values which are virtually unaffected by moisture on site. The actual performance in use of Polyfoam Agriboard is outlined in the attached application sections.
Handling and Storage
Polyfoam Agriboard is supplied in polythene packs, labelled with identifying product and manufacturing data. The boards are easy to handle and nonirritant, no special protective clothing is required to install them. Polyfoam products should not be left exposed to prolonged sunlight as this will result in surface degradation. Where outside storage for extended periods is required cover with opaque/light coloured sheeting. Ensure the boards are not stored close to open flame or other ignition source, also avoiding volatile compounds and chemicals such as solvents.
Application

Polyfoam Agriboard is recommended for the following constructions:
  • Internal insulation and lining of walls/frames in agricultural buildings in new build or refurbishment
  • Internal insulation and lining of roofs in agricultural buildings in new build or refurbishment

Polyfoam Agriboard has a Moisture Absorption by Volume of 0.3% and Continuous Service Temperature Limits of -50°C to +75°C.
