Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra

Short Description
A high strength, consistent density rock mineral wool slab, manufactured using new Krimpact technology, for use in flat roof applications where loading and impact resistance is required. Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra has high thermal, acoustic and fire resistant properties with the added benefit of the highest compressive strength in the Krimpact Flat Roof Slabs range.
Standards
The mineral wool of Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra is non-combustible inorganic rock wool, defined as mineral wool in BS 3533, manufactured in accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2000.
Fire Performance
Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra is classified as Euroclass A1 BS EN ISO 13501-1. The rock mineral wool in Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra has an extremely high melting point of over 1000ºC. In the event of fire they will emit negligible quantities of smoke and fumes. The heat emission from the products is insignificant.
Thermal Performance
Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra has a thermal conductivity of 0.039 W/mK. In a typical metal deck construction a thickness of 150mm (2x75mm) Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra will achieve a U-Value of 0.25 W/m²K. Permanence
The rock mineral wool in Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra is non-hygroscopic and is treated to ensure its water repellency. It is rot proof, do not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria. The mineral wool of Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra is odourless and non-hygroscopic.
Compressive Resistance
Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra has a compressive strength of 90KPa.

Handling and Storage

All Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab products are supplied on non-returnable wooden pallets wrapped in a polythene shroud for temporary protection during transit and on site. For longer term outside storage (stock or site) the pallets should be stored under a secure waterproof covering.

Application

For thermal insulation in flat roofs, Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra is a consistent density rock slab with good compression performance which has been specially designed to offer good thermal performance, and excellent fire and acoustic resistance. Suitable for use under all kinds of single ply membrane and with hot applied bitumen systems, the consistency of density of Krimpact flat roof slab provides excellent long term performance under compression loading. Rocksilk Krimpact Flat Roof Slab Extra has the highest A1 fire classification.
