Key Features
- SF19 SuperFOIL is constructed from 19 layers of interlace materials with a K value of 0.033 w/m*k.
- SF19 SuperFOIL is independently tested and certified by internationally accredited laboratories (ILAC) to comply with BR443 Part L of Building Regulations for multi-foiled insulation. UKAS are the UK signatory members of ILAC. International test ISO 8302-561, GB/T10295-1988.
- SF19 SuperFOIL, using a Comparitive Energy saving assessment, achieves the same performance (including radiated energy insulation properties) to 275mm of glass wool which has an R value of 6.1.
- At 38mm thick, SF19 SuperFOIL is the thickest multilayer foil product in the UK - incorporates 3 layers of full 80gm loft material, more than any other UK product of its type.
- Ideal for new build, extensions and conversions and can be easily retrofitted as it does not waste valuable and extensive floor space.
- SF19 SuperFOIL meets established insulation requirements and is only 38mm thick. SF19 SuperFOIL has considerable benefits over using Conventional Rockwool or Glassfibre. SF19 SuperFOIL also reduces dependency on chemical foam products which cause harmful CO2 emissions.
- Additional energy saving. SF19 SuperFOIL can be used as an extra layer over and above original glass fibre to "super insulate" your home.

| Over Rafter Application - Warm Roof |
Under Rafter Application - Cold Roof |
- Roll out SF19 SuperFOIL over rafters. Staple every 50-mm and cover joins with SF19 SuperFOIL tape, overlap widths 75mm.
- At the eaves cut quilt around rafters and seal to cavity wall insulation or wall plate to create airtight envelope.
- Fox battens parallel with the rafters and apply breathable roof underlay according to manufacturers guidelines.
- Fix roofing tiles
|
- Roll out SF19 SuperFOIL, starting along the top of the roof. Batten horizontally over rafters. Staple every 500mm and cover joins with SF19 SuperFOIL tape, overlap widths 75mm.
- At the bottom of the roof piptch, staple the SF19 SuperFOIL directly onto the timber wall plate to create airtight envelope,
- Fix battens across the rafters and ensure 25mm air gap between quilt and the plasterboard.

- SF19 SuperFOIL can be used in all types of roof
- SF19 SuperFOIL can be laid horizontally or vertically depending on the characteristics of the area to be insulated
- SF19 SuperFOIL can be cut with a craft knife or scissors
- Attach with galvanised or stainless steel staples, (14mm min).
- Contact with lead, copper and its alloys should be avoided
- Do not use SF19 SuperFOIL to insulate a chimney flue.
|
- When using SF19 SuperFOIL around downlighters a 30mm clear cavity must be provided.
- SF19 SuperFOIL is most effective with a 25mm minimum air gap easily provided with battens.
- SF19 SuperFOIL should be stored under cover and protected from the elements.
- SF19 SuperFOIL tape (25m x 100mm) to be used on all overlaps and joints.
- Be careful of the sun's reflection when using outside.
|
- SF19 SuperFOIL is the thickest foil insulation its type in the UK.
- SF19 SuperFOIL has a manufacturer certified thermal conductivity of 0.033 W/mK
- SF19 SuperFOIL's extra large roll size of 18.75m reduces waste.
|
- SF19 SuperFOIL can be used with XPS or Rockwool to 'Super Insulate'.
- SF19 SuperFOIL is lightweight and easy to handle.
- SF19 delivers maximum insulation from the use of a minimum amount of space.
