|
All the tests are carried out in strict accordance with the regulations
and conditions as required to comply with all current criteria. |
| |
The costs of the tests will be given at the time of the enquiry provided
that we are advised the exact number of tests that are required within
the premises. This information can be obtained from your local authority
who will have the exact criteria for your particular site. All sites
are different so please ensure that you ask exactly how many test
they require and the nature of each test, ie room to room, floor to
ceiling below, etc. |
| |
A full report will be issued and the compliance certified. |
| |
Once all the details are known we will offer a fixed price which will take
into account the location, the number of tests required etc and there
will be no additional costs providing the accompanying Site Requirements
are adhered to. |
| |
The agreed fixed price shall be paid at the time of booking by
credit card and confirmed immediately. Should the payment be made by cheque, the confirmation will be given upon receipt of cleared funds. |
| |
NB. There are rare occasions where the tests show a fail. If this is the
case, this will be intimated to you straight away and remedial suggestion
and specification advised. If the remedial work can be done immediately
or if it is of an insignificant nature, it may not involve further
tests. |

| Sound Insulation TestsOn Site Requirements |
| |
Listed below are the on site requirements to enable the sound insulation
tests to be conducted. |
| |
|
1. |
240 volt mains supply, either operational inside or with sufficient
extension cable to reach all rooms wherein testing is being carried
out. |
| |
| 2. |
The rooms to be tested are fully complete in terms of walls, floors, ceilings,
windows, doors, door seals, trickle vents and ventilation system if
installed, electrical sockets and switches sealed into patrices or
boxes. Ideally both the source and receiving rooms of each test should
be fully complete to prevent the need for further visits and the ongoing
escalation of the costs involved. We do need this assurance prior
to the visit to ensure no extra costs to yourselves. |
|
| 3. |
Absence of any site noise or building noises during the period of
the test and the cessation of work during that time. Other tradesmen
working in the same building can render the test invalid. Problems
have been found in the past with, for example, drills, hammering and
other impacts, sanding, vacuum cleaners, doors being opened and closed,
alarm systems under test, outdoor noises from site vehicles, compressors,
pumps, mixers, grinders and saws, and impact noise from paving and
gardening equipment.
|
| |
| 4. |
The tests cause sudden bursts of high sound levels within the building
which are remotely controlled. This can startle any other persons
within the building who are not involved with the testing and we ask
for the building to be vacated during the tests. |
| |
| 5. |
The ISO Standard calls upon you and not ourselves to give a complete
description of the walls floors ceilings etc of all test areas and
these details cannot be included within the report as is compulsory
unless we are so advised. |
