Polyfoam Floorfoam Under Screed Layer - The Sound Solution, York, UK

A closed cell extruded polyethylene foam available in roll or strip form. Polyfoam Floorfoam is excellent at cushioning vibrations and is used as a resilient layer below screeds in separating floors. It has been developed specifically to comply with Building Regulation requirements for a resilient layer in a separating floor. The closed cell nature of Polyfoam Floorfoam makes it an excellent resilient layer.

Installation

Polyfoam Floorfoam 10 has been developed to comply with the requirements for a resilient layer below a screed in separating floors. Polyfoam Floorfoam 12.5 has been developed for use in Floor Type 2 in Scotland. Floorfoam Easy Edge Strip is used at the perimeter of the floor to isolate the screed from the surrounding structure. When used together, Polyfoam Floorfoam and Floorfoam Easy Edge Strips completely isolate the floor screed from the surrounding structure to eliminate the transfer of impact sound to the main structure.
