Acoustic false wall system designed
to offer high levels of sound reduction.
- Reduces higher levels of neighbour noise and helps conversions and
new builds comply with Part E.
- Installed as an independant wall or to an existing wall.
- Minimum space loss for maximum soundproofing.

The System 1 soundproofing wall system offers high levels or reduction and is our recommended
system to use for soundproofing your wall. Ideal for all types of builds were neighbour noise is an issue, talking, television, music, etc.
This system can also be used to comply with Building Regulations Part e for seperating walls in new builds and conversions.
When applied to a wall the system is around 85mm thick, once installed the system can be decorated to your requirments. We would advise a plaster skim to finish.

NSSW1+
18 mm Soundproofing wall board with two layer laminated panel of acoustic mineral
board / high density, impregnated, sound reductive rubber membrane. Full tech spec
& attenuation below (traditionally approx. 100 mm). The resultant panel, when applied
using the NoiseStop System Soundproofing method, is equivalent to a traditional
acoustic infill of 100 mm thickness. The NoiseStop System method statement must
be adhered to in its entirety to achieve the best sound proofing results.
DFM 50 (140kg/m³)
DFM has been proven over many years to be the ideal Soundproofing insulation
material for all applications where noise attenuation or noise absorption is needed
- in Soundproofing in the home / domestic, commercial, manufacturing, industrial
and environmental situations. In addition to its acoustic properties, its well known
thermal insulation and fire protection performance are inherent benefits. Thicknesses
of 25, 50, 75, 100 are available. Prices vary accordingly. The most commonly used
is the 50mm when applied inside 2"x2" stud work in wall partition constructions.
SoundBreaker Bars
The bars are used in this system as a way of reducing the transmission of noise
through the wall. The design of them reduces the surface area that is connected
together in the new wall and reduces vibration, therefore reducing the over all noise that can come through
the wall. They also help to create separation and save space.
Installation
We recommend this method of sound insulation for airborne noise, but it can also
be used for impact noise solution.
- Remove any skirting, coving, sockets and any other items on the wall.
- A stud frame is then attached to the wall using a 50mm stud of either timber or metal. These can be spaced 600mm apart to allow easy installation of ther DFM.
- Place the Dense Fibre Matting (DFM) into the stud frame. Cut to fit if necessary, making
sure that there are no gaps.
- If you have the sound breaker bars these are then screwed to the front of
the stud work at 600mm centres. The sound breaker bars already have predrilled
holes for this. Start at the bottom and work up the wall, creating a chess board effect with the stud work.
- Screw the wall board that you have, to the face of the SoundBreaker bar,
if you do not have the bars the board is screwed to the stud frame.
- Seal any gaps that you may have with suitable filler, acoustic sealant.
- Skim plaster to finish. Decorate to your requirement after.
