18 mm Soundproofing wall board with two layer laminated panel of acoustic mineral
board / high density, impregnated, sound reductive rubber membrane. Full tech spec

using the NoiseStop System Soundproofing method, is equivalent to an traditional
acoustic infill of 100 mm thickness. The NoiseStop System method statement must

DFM 25 (100kg/m³)
DFM has been proven over many years to be the ideal Soundproofing insulation
material for all applications where noise attenuation or noise absorption is needed in Soundproofing in the home / domestic, commercial, manufacturing, industrial
and environmental situations. In addition to its acoustic properties, its well known
thermal insulation and fire protection performance are inherent benefits. Thickness'
of 25, 50, 75, 100 and 200mm are available. Prices vary accordingly. The most commonly
used is the 25mm when applied inside 2"x1" stud work in wall partition constructions.
Installation
We recommend this method of sound insulation for airborne noise, but it can also
be used for impact noise solution.
- Remove any skirting, coving, sockets and any other items on the wall.
- A stud frame is then attached to the wall using a 25mm stud of either
timber or metal. These can be spaced 600mm apart to allow easy
installation of ther DFM.
- Place Dense Fibre Matting (DFM) into the stud frame. Cut to fit, making
sure that there are no gaps.
- Screw the wall board that you have, to the face of the stud work.
- Seal any gaps that you may have with suitable filler or acoustic sealant
- Skim plaster to finish. Decorate to your requirement after
