Ceilings are totally different in their style and method of installation:
The basic product is NSSC1 which is a single laminate of acoustic mineral board and impregnated rubber membrane. This combination of16mm thickness will give a reduction of 28db on airborne noise. To eradicate or reduce the noise levels from airborne, flanking and impact noise, the use of NSSC1, NSSC1+, NSSC2, NSSC2+ etc are recommended, as this will be installed in conjunction with the integral use of the strip seal panels. The option 1 Soundproofing ceiling system offers high noise reduction and is therefore our recommend system to use for soundproofing from the above. The products used in this system are:

15mm two layer laminated panel of acoustic mineral board / impregnated rubber membrane. Full tech spec & attenuation below ( traditionally approx. 100mm ).
The resultant panel, when applied using the NoiseStop System, is equivalent to an acoustic media of 50mm thickness. The NoiseStop System method statement must be adhered to in its entirety.
Accredited tests have shown a reduction of 27db. The panels should be skimmed and then brought to required decorative order.

Can help to reduce transmission of sound between floors and ceilings when using traditional plasterboard ceilings. Also helpful when needing to separate NoiseStop panels from wall structures. The bars are available in 3m lengths, 70mm wide by 15mm deep.
