Direction of laying ACTIS insulation materials
It is recommended that the strips are laid vertically, depending on the characteristics of the area to be insulated. It also advised to avoid cut offs.
TRISO-SUPER 10 may be laid either side up without affecting the efficiency of the insulation
Staples
We recommend using galvanized or stainless steel staples (14mm minimum).
Type of roof
Our insulation materials are compatible with all types of roof.
Contact between materials
Avoid all contact between the insulation and lead, copper and its alloys. Please contact ACTIS for more specific advice.
Chimneys inserts and heat exchangers
Never use ACTIS insulation materials to insulate a chimney flue, an insert or heat exchanger. Use an Euroclass A2 s1 d0 insulation, equivalent to non-combustible British Standard. Respect the regulation distance around chimney flues.
Inset lighting
No inset, low voltage or traditional lighting less than 200mm from ACTIS insulation. Use an Euroclass A2 s1 d0 insulation, equivalent to non-combustible British Standard.
Television aerials
It is advisable to have an external television aerial when using TRISO-SUPER 10.
Storage
ACTIS insulation materials should be stored under cover and protected from the elements.
Beware of the sun!
ACTIS insulation materials should not be left in direct contact with ultraviolet radiation (direct sunlight) - once installed TRISO-SUPER 10 should not be left exposed for more than 3 days. When laying ACTIS insulation materials outside, protect eyes by wearing sunglasses, and protect against sunburn. |
