Acoustic wall boards to bond directly to walls to reduce airborne noise through party walls and light weight structures

Direct to wall soundproofing panel designed to reduce airborne sound transmission through walls. The panels can be applied to all common substrates using dry wall adhesives or any other suitable plasterboard adhesive.

The direct to wall boards are suitable for all domestic situations when soundproofing is required, but only limited space is available. Bonds directly to any wall with dry wall adhesive and can be plastered to finish. The boards can also be used on stud walls and as part of a combination of materials for increased levels of soundproofing. Use on walls that have failed pre-completion tests for Part E Building Regulations.

The boards consists of a layer of 2.5mm high density metal impregnated rubber bonded between two layers of 12.5mm acoustic plasterboard.

NOTE: We recommend one bag of dry wall adhesive for every five boards ordered and one tube of acoustic sealant 310ml.

INSTALLATION


DATA SHEET

When installing this panel ensure the edges are sealed with an acoustic sealant. Once the boards are installed we recommend a plaster skim finish.

Flanking noise transmitting into cavity walls and light weight block work walls can be reduced with the direct to wall boards.

The direct to wall boards can help towards separating walls meet Part E for new builds and conversions.
