Acoustic wall system 85mm thick offers high levels of sound reduction
through walls to reduce 'noisy neighbours' and other domestic
soundproofing requirements
Wall System 1 is designed to reduce high levels of sound transmission through party walls. The system can also be used to soundproof home cinemas and studio walls. Wall System 1 can be installed
against an existing party wall if only limited space is available, the system is 83mm thick. If a 25mm gap can be left between the existing wall and the new wall you can achieve an increase in the
soundproofing performance. Sound will not be able to transfer through the wall structure if the system is independent of the existing wall.

The products used in this system are:
NSSW1+
18mm Soundproofing wall board a two layer laminated panel of acoustic mineral
board high density, impregnated, sound reductive rubber membrane. The board is an acoustic plasterboard finish so can be plastered to finish.
DFM 50 (140kg/m³)
DFM has been proven over many years to be the ideal Soundproofing insulation
material for all applications where noise attenuation or noise absorption is needed
- in Soundproofing in the home / domestic, commercial, manufacturing, industrial
and environmental situations. In addition to its acoustic properties, its well known
thermal insulation and fire protection performance are inherent benefits. Thicknesses
of 25, 50, 75, 100mm are available. Prices vary accordingly. The most commonly used
is the 50mm when applied inside 2"x2" stud work in wall partition constructions.
Soundbreaker Bars
The bars are used in this system as a way of reducing the transmission of noise
through the wall. The design of the bars reduces sound transmission and vibrations through a structure, therefore reducing the over all noise that transfers through
the wall. They also help to create separation and save space.
Acoustic Sealant
Seal around the edge of plasterboards to ensure a complete acoustic seal.

when deciding what quantities to order. We recommend when calculating
your area an increase of 5% to allow for wastage and off cuts.
