The NSSC2 panels can be screwed directly into existing ceiling joists using dry wall screws. The boards can be cut to any shape using a hand saw or jigsaw. If you are installing this panel with the soundbreaker bars they should fastened to the joists at 300-350m centres, when you screw the panels into the bars do not screw into existing joists as this will reduce the effectiveness of the bars. Leave a 3-5mm gap around the perimeter of the ceiling to reduce sound transmission from the walls, ensure you use acoustic sealant to seal the edges of the boards and the perimeter.
