Barrier Shield is a versatile soundproofing sheet material that has excellent acoustic performance. Suitable for use in most applications including soundproofing walls, floors, ceilings and enclosures. Lay Barrier Shield over floors to increase sound insulation. Use on walls and ceilings it will increase the acoustic performance of wall and ceiling soundproofing systems. A high density mass loaded vinyl mat, this flexible material can be used in any situation offering a sound proofing reduction similar to that of a sheet of lead. Combine Barrier Shield with plasterboard to reduce vibrations. Reducing the vibration reduces the sound transmission. For enclosures Barrier Shield will increase the mass and reduce airborne noise. Combine with an acoustic foam inside the enclosure for the best results.
Barrier Shield sheets 1200mm x1200mm are available in two thicknesses 2.5mm and 5mm. The density of each product is 5kg/m³ and 10kg/m³ respectively. A compounded and processed mixture of thermoplastic organic polymers, phthalate esters, mineral fillers, stabilizers and pigmentation.
