IsoBond is a water-based acrylic adhesive with good bonding strength. It can be used to apply soundproof underlay products to concrete, screed, MDF, chipboard, and plywood for floor soundproofing.
Isobond Adhesive is supplied in 12kg, 10-litre tubs, which will cover a 30 sqm floor area when applied with a 1.5mm triangular notched trowel.

Isobond Adhesive for Acoustic Flooring
Isobond is a ready-to-use, high-grab floor adhesive designed for bonding soundproof membranes to sub-floors, resilient layers, and floor finishes. Suitable for timber, concrete, plywood, MDF, chipboard, and other sheet materials, it securely adheres rubber and vinyl products as part of acoustic flooring systems. Supplied in 12-litre tubs, each covers approximately 30m² when applied with a 1.5mm notched trowel.
Ideal for installations where membranes must be fixed to the sub-floor or a resilient layer before the final floor finish, Isobond also bonds to carpets, wood flooring, and vinyl for complete soundproofing integrity.
- Ensure the surface you are applying the adhesive is flat and cleared of debris, loose material and dust.
- Use a primer on porous surfaces before applying the adhesive.
- Isobond is supplied and ready to use, so it will not require additives.
Applying Isobond
Once the surface is prepared, you can apply the adhesive.
- Apply the adhesive using a 1.5mm notched trowel. Certain floor coverings may require a larger gauge; please check with the individual flooring products.
- Once you apply the adhesive to the floor, allow a minimum of 15 minutes before laying the flooring, allowing the adhesive to become tacky. Site conditions may alter when you leave the adhesive before covering it with the flooring.
- Use a 50kg roller to embed the flooring into the adhesive. Repeat the rolling one hour later.
Due to the nature of our materials, most orders are delivered on pallets. Each order is securely wrapped and palletised to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and goods will be dropped as close to the property as possible. Please note, drivers are unable to carry items indoors.
Palletised deliveries are charged at a flat rate of £60 + VAT, regardless of how many pallets are required. Smaller orders under 20kg are sent via courier at £20 + VAT.
We hold high stock levels and aim to deliver within 3–4 working days. Once your order is placed, you’ll receive confirmation of the expected delivery date. Please ensure someone is available to sign for the goods.
