Mapei VS90 Plus 15kg is a water-based acrylic adhesive with strong bonding. It can be used to apply soundproof underlay products to concrete, screed, MDF, chipboard, and plywood for floor soundproofing. Mapei VS90 Plus is supplied in 15kg, which will cover approximately 45 sqm of floor area when applied with a 3mm triangular notched trowel.

Mapei VS90 Plus for Acoustic Flooring
Mapei VS90 Plus is a ready-to-use, high-grab floor adhesive designed for bonding soundproof membranes to sub-floors, resilient layers, and floor finishes. Suitable for timber, concrete, plywood, MDF, chipboard, and other sheet materials, it securely adheres rubber and vinyl products to acoustic flooring systems. Supplied in 15-litre tubs, each covers approximately 45sqm when applied with a 3mm notched trowel.
Ideal for installations where membranes must be fixed to the sub-floor or a resilient layer before the final floor finish, Isobond also bonds to carpets, wood flooring, and vinyl for complete soundproofing integrity.
- Ensure the surface you are applying the adhesive to is flat and cleared of debris, loose material and dust.
- Use a primer on porous surfaces before applying the adhesive.
- Mapei VS90 Plus is supplied and ready to use, so it will not require additives.
Applying Mapei VS90 Plus
Once the surface is prepared, you can apply the adhesive.
- Apply the adhesive using a 3mm notched trowel. Certain floor coverings may require a larger gauge; please check with the individual flooring products.
- Once you apply the adhesive to the floor, wait at least 15 minutes before laying the flooring, so the adhesive becomes tacky. Site conditions may alter when you leave the adhesive before covering it with the flooring.
- Use a 50kg roller to embed the flooring into the adhesive. Repeat the rolling one hour later.
Delivering soundproofing throughout the UK
Due to the nature of most of the materials we supply, orders are typically delivered on pallets.
All orders will be carefully wrapped, protected, and securely palletised to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. Goods will be delivered as near to the property as possible. The drivers will not be able to carry orders into your property.
Deliveries are made between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
We charge a flat delivery rate of £60 plus VAT for most palletised deliveries. We do not charge per pallet, regardless of the number of pallets used to deliver your order.
Certain postcodes will incur a higher delivery charge than our standard rate, including those in Northern Ireland, Northern Scotland, and the Islands off the mainland.
Orders placed for items weighing less than 20kg will be sent via courier for £20 plus VAT.
We have a high stock level and typically deliver orders in approximately three to four working days.
