Acoustic Insulation Products

Acoustic insulation products are used to soundproof walls, floors, ceilings and enclosures. These sound insulation slabs are an essential part of any soundproofing solution that requires airborne noise reduction. Use acoustic slabs inside stud frames to soundproof party walls and acoustic wall soundproofing solutions. Soundproof slabs are used between floor joists to increase the sound insulation of timber floors. DFM acoustic insulation slabs are available in various thicknesses, 25mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm thick. Choose the correct depth of insulation that suits your requirements; high-density slabs of insulation will not compress very easily. DFM slabs have a density rating, kg/m³, ranging between 45kg/m³ to 140kg/m³. For most domestic soundproofing applications, the mid-range density of  80kg/m³ will be sufficient. For Building Regulations Part E requirements, use the 60kgkg/m³ slabs between separating floors as part of your solution. Use the 100kg/m³-140kg/m³ for the highest level of noise reduction. Please note the increase in sound insulation does not double if you use double the density. All the slabs in the DFM range are non-combustible class fire rated.
