Acoustic Wall Soundproofing Kits

Wall soundproofing kits and systems combine multiple high-performance materials to significantly reduce noise transmission through walls, particularly where high noise levels are a concern — such as party walls against noisy neighbours, stud wall systems to enhance the sound insulation between rooms, home cinemas and studios. Soundproof kits typically integrate high-density insulation (like acoustic mineral wool) to absorb sound energy, mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) or heavy acoustic membranes to add mass and block airborne sound, and acoustic plasterboard panels to increase wall density further and reduce vibration, with sealants and sound isolation clips included to eliminate gaps and decouple wall layers for more effective sound isolation. If you require an alternative thinner wall soundproofing solution, take a look at our soundproofing panel range, soundproof walls without compromising living space.

Wall soundproofing systems FAQs

The best way to reduce noise transfer through party walls is to isolate the new wall lining from the existing structure, adding mass and density to absorb impact and airborne sounds.

A complete brick-party-wall soundproofing solution, such as the easy-to-install AcoustiClip System, includes everything you need to achieve this.

To help tackle higher noise levels, the AcoustiClip system can be upgraded with the AcoustiClip Solid Wall Stud System for maximum performance.

The best way to reduce noise transfer through stud walls is to isolate the new wall lining from the existing structure by introducing mass and density to absorb impact and airborne sound.

The AcoustiClip Stud Wall System is our best solution for soundproofing stud walls.

This system creates a fully isolated stud structure, preventing sound vibrations from transferring through the existing wall. The AcoustiClip system delivers exceptional noise reduction for airborne and impact sound, making it ideal for tackling even the most persistent neighbour noise.

Confident DIYers can install most of our wall soundproofing systems. However, if you prefer professional installation, we provide full guides with each product to instruct builders, joiners and plasterers.

The best-performing soundproof system is the AcoustiClip System. When applied to a room, it adds mass, sound absorption, and decoupling, which are essential when looking for high levels of sound insulation.

The AcoustiClip System is applied to walls and ceilings.

The slimmest wall soundproofing system on the market is Noisestop System 2.

Combining 25mm acoustic insulation and the innovative Noisestop 1 Plus Panel at 18mm, the system can be installed on a wall at a depth of 43mm. This makes Wall System 2  the thinnest acoustic wall solution available.

A competent DIYer can install a soundproof system. If you do not feel you can, it would be best to find a local tradesperson. Installing most soundproof systems does not require a specialist and is usually undertaken by a local contractor.

Most soundproof systems have an outer face of plasterboard, which allows for finishing, such as a plaster skim like a standard plasterboard. Our soundproofing boards have a tapered edge that enables them to be taped and filled as an alternative to plastering. Decorating straight onto the panel’s surface with paint or wallpaper is possible.

Once the soundproofing has been installed, the electrical outlets can be reinstatedTo ensure acoustic integrity, we recommend using an acoustic putty pad inside the electrical back box.

In many cases, a soundproof system can increase a home’s value, especially in noisy areas where privacy and quiet are a priority. Soundproofing improvements are often considered a good investment.
