Noisestop AcoustiClip Concrete Ceiling Soundproofing System – Advanced Acoustic Isolation for Concrete Ceilings
Reduce Unwanted Noise from Above with a Resilient, High Performance Ceiling Solution
The Noisestop AcoustiClip Concrete Ceiling Soundproofing System is a premium acoustic solution designed to combat impact and airborne noise through concrete ceilings. Whether you’re dealing with noisy upstairs neighbours, footfall, or airborne disturbances like speech and music, this clip-and-channel system is engineered to deliver professional-grade sound insulation in residential and commercial buildings.
Block Impact and Airborne Sound Through Solid Ceilings
Unlike standard ceiling linings, this system uses resilient AcoustiClips and acoustic furring channels to create a decoupled, floating ceiling, which minimises direct sound transfer from the above structure. It’s a robust and proven method of isolating noise in apartments, offices, and converted properties with concrete floor/ceiling construction.
Why Choose the AcoustiClip Concrete Ceiling System
- High-Performance Acoustic Isolation – Effective against impact (footsteps) and airborne (voices, music) noise
- Ideal for Concrete Ceilings – Designed for use with solid structural ceilings
- Floating Ceiling System – AcoustiClips and channels create vibration-free mounting
- Acoustic Insulation for Enhanced Results – Boosted performance with acoustic mineral wool
- Minimal Ceiling Drop – 77mm from the concrete ceiling
Professional Ceiling Soundproofing for Modern Living
The Noisestop AcoustiClip Concrete Ceiling System is your go-to solution for blocking noise through concrete ceilings. It offers excellent results without major structural alterations. Note: Every 10 decibels(dB) reduction in noise level is roughly perceived as a halving of the perceived loudness. So, for instance, if you have a sound that measures 70dB and it decreases to 60dB, it would sound about half as loud to the human ear. Decibels Explained.
- Fix the AcoustiClip by screwing them directly into the concrete ceiling. Alternatively, fix timber battens to the ceiling and screw the AcoustiClip into the timber batten. See the diagram below for clip and channel spacing.
- An AcoustiClip should be installed at the end of each row.
- The AcoustiChannel is inserted into the clip by pushing it into the AcoustiClip.
- The AcoustiChannels are joined, overlapping them 100mm.
- Lay the acoustic insulation between the AcoustiChannel. Adhere the insulation using a strong spray adhesive between the channels. Alternatively, slide the insulation over the back of the first layer of boarding.
- Once the AcoustiChannel is in place, you can attach the soundboards. Screw the boards into the AcoustiChannel using self-drilling drywall screws. We recommend using a minimum of 16 fixings per board. Ensure the screw punctures the AcoustiChannel by a minimum of 10mm.
- Affix the 15mm soundboard first and then the Noisestop 1 Plus Panel using 25mm and 50mm drywall screrws, sandwiching the acoustic membrane between the soundboards on the back of the Noisestop 1 Plus Panel.
- Once the boards have been fitted, the system can be finished as you would finish standard plasterboard. The boards are supplied with tapered edges, which allows for dry-lining or plastering.
Spacing the AcoustiClip & AcoustiChannel
- Maximum 600mm centers between the AcoustiChannel
- Maximum 900mm centres between AcoustiClips along the AcoustiChannel
- Maximum 150mm from the centre of the AcoustiChannel and the wall
- Ensure the end of the AcoustiChannel does not contact the wall
