The Noisestop Systems Stud Wall Kit is a complete, high-performance wall soundproofing solution for internal stud walls.
Designed to reduce airborne noise through timber or metal frames, this all-in-one acoustic insulation system includes decoupling bars, acoustic insulation, dual-layer soundproof boards, and sealant for a fully sealed, high-density wall structure.
Ideal for blocking TV, conversation, and everyday household noise, the Dense Fibre Matting (DFM) acoustic infill offers an efficient and cost-saving alternative to buying individual components.
This all-in-one acoustic wall insulation includes Soundbreaker Bars to decouple and isolate the stud frame from the boards, DFM acoustic infill between the studs to reduce airborne noise, and two layers of soundproof boards, adding mass and sound damping. Each kit also includes acoustic sealant tubes to seal the wall properly for optimal performance.

Noisestop Systems Stud Wall Kit – Slim Profile Stud Wall Acoustic Insulation
Create quieter, more private spaces with the Noisestop Systems Stud Wall Soundproofing Kit, a high-performance sound insulation system for both new and existing stud walls.
This space-saving solution features a slimline profile without compromising acoustic performance, making it ideal for reducing noise transfer between rooms in homes, offices, or commercial properties.
This advanced soundproofing kit combines key sound-blocking and absorption components, including high-density acoustic insulation, Soundbreaker resilient channels, and the Noisestop 1 Plus Panel – an innovative acoustic board engineered to block airborne sound effectively.
Together, these layers disrupt sound vibrations, significantly improving wall sound insulation and enhancing room-to-room privacy.
Why Choose the Noisestop Stud Wall Soundproofing System?
- Slimline design – ideal for rooms where space is limited
- Reduces airborne noise, including speech, TV, and music
- Perfect for partition walls, bedrooms, home offices, and more
- Suitable for both DIY and professional installations
Materials supplied with this system:

Untreated stud wall DnT,w
Stud wall with 12mm plasterboard on either side 38dB
Treated stud wall DnT,w
50mm Stud Wall System 55dB
Improvement DnT,w
Noise reduction with treatment 17dB
Note: Every 10 decibels(dB) reduction in noise level is roughly perceived as a halving of the perceived loudness. So, for instance, if you have a sound that measures 70dB and it decreases to 60dB, it would sound about half as loud to the human ear. Decibels explained.
The Noisestop Stud Wall Soundproofing System can be applied to both new and existing stud walls. For existing walls, you’ll need to remove the plasterboard from one side. For new builds, begin by applying isolation strips around the perimeter of the stud frame to minimise vibration transfer.
To reduce flanking noise, insulate the floor and ceiling cavities using acoustic slabs where possible.
- Stud Cavity Insulation: Fill the cavity between studs with acoustic insulation, ensuring complete coverage. Cut slabs slightly wider than the gap so they friction-fit securely between the studs.
- Fitting Soundbreaker Bars: Fix the Soundbreaker Bars horizontally at 600mm centres, starting approximately 50mm from the floor and ceiling. Secure them to the frame using the pre-drilled holes.
- Installing the Acoustic Boards
- Fix the first layer (e.g. Noisestop 1 Plus Panel) to the bars using drywall screws into the wide corrugated flange.
- Add the second layer of soundproof plasterboard the same way, staggering joints where possible for better acoustic performance.
- Sealing the Wall: Leave a 3mm gap around the perimeter of the wall. Once the boards are in place, fill all perimeter gaps with acoustic sealant to maintain airtightness.
- Finishing Touches: Finish as you would a standard plasterboard wall — skim plaster, tape and fill, then decorate. Electrical outlets can be installed as required; use acoustic putty pads inside back boxes to preserve sound insulation.
