Noisestop Acoustic Panel
Noisestop Acoustic Panel is our highest performing stand-alone direct to wall soundproofing panel. At only 22.5mm thick it is one of the thinnest wall soundproofing solutions available. The high performance against airborne noise and the minimal space loss in the room means the Noisestop Acoustic Panel is an ideal solution. Say goodbye to noisy neighbours and block the sound from their TVs, radios and conversation without compromising on space in your home or at work.
The Noisestop Acoustic Panel offers:
- DIY soundproofing
- Thin soundproofing solution or walls, can be applied to ceilings
- 30 minute fire rating
- Airborne Sound Insulation: 50dB reduction
- Noisy neighbour solution
- Part E compliant for separating walls
- Bond directly to walls using Smart Tack Adhesive
The panel comprises of acoustic plasterboard, which is denser than standard plasterboard helping to block airborne sounds. A triple laminated layer system in the board absorbs sound and reduces vibrations for maximum noise reduction.
Two layers of 2.5mm vinyl add mass and dampen vibrations while a core layer of 5mm acoustic foam absorbs sound as it passes through the panel. This combination of materials ensure sound is absorbed, blocked and vibration is reduced, ensuring high levels of airborne sound are reduced.
Our acoustic panel is an ideal solution for separating walls and complies with Part E Building Regulations. This panel is suitable or use in rooms that require higher levels of sound insulation like studios and home cinemas, use with acoustic insulation and soundbreaker bars to form acoustic walls and ceilings.
It can also be applied over plasterboard ceilings to reduce airborne sound between floors, or as part of a ceiling soundproofing system.

Reduce Flanking Noise
When you are considering any form of wall soundproofing you should take into account flanking sound. Sound travels around a building through any cavities it can find, one of the easiest ways for sound to pass through is between floor cavities. Sound transferring through these areas is flanking sound. When you soundproof a wall you should consider reducing the chance of sound transferring through floor cavities between the floor joists.
If your floor joists are shared with a neighbouring property it is easy or sound to transfer through the floor. If you are soundproofing a party wall you should check to see if floor joists are going through to your neighbours property. Do this by checking which way your floorboards are running. If they run in the same direction as the wall the chances are you floor joists will be running into the wall, this will increase the chance of flanking sound transferring between the properties.
The easiest way to reduce flanking sound through your floors is to insulate between the floor joists. Remove a few floor boards up against the wall and fill the cavity against the wall with acoustic insulation 80kg/m³ would be a suitable density of slab to use. Fit the slabs against the wall, coming back into the room approximately 600mm, or the width off a slab.
